Terrorlov

(Kapitel 3, afsnit 4.3.1)."

- henvise til sikkerhedsguru'en Bruce Schneier's glimrende artikel Why Data Mining Won't Stop Terror.

Banksy

I like the work of english street artist Banksy. He's doing his thing in the streets, as well as on the inner walls of museums. Of his own choice.

Muhammed-sagen

Knoppix

If you ever wondered what this Linux thing is, Knoppix is what you want. It is a live Linux DVD, meaning you boot from it, and there's no installation involved. When you are done you just reboot, and you're back in Windows. But that dosn't mean it is Linux Light. It (most likely) packs all the applikations you would want. And it is free. You can download the Knoppix DVD here, and the Knoppix CD here, and then burn the file to a DVD/CD as an image.

Hamachi

Okay, this is one of the cooler things I've stumbled across lately. Hamachi is an application which allows you to make virtual LAN's with your friends for gaming, file-sharing etc. Everything you can do over a LAN, you can do with Hamachi. It's extremly easy to setup and very secure. You need to check this out.

On the Matematics of the Lottery

I am one of the people who like to compare the chances of winning the lottery to the chances of getting hit by all sorts of things. This article by Mark Dominus makes some pretty good points on the subject that have made me rethink my point of view on the subject.

ManyBooks

ManyBooks is a pretty impressive collection of free eBooks. You can download the books in a variety of different formats, including PDF and iPod Notes. I think you will be able to find most classics there. As a measure of the size of the collection, the listing of authors starting with the letter S amounts to 420.

Paper Eleven

I have finally found the manga style I have been looking for in Paper Eleven, a clone.manga project. The artwork is perfect for framing and the complete series is free to download! The plot is as follows:

"14-year-old Maya survives a terrible train accident only to find herself in a strange world where people, places, and souls are made of paper. Now, hunted and alone, she has 11 days to find the bodies, reconstruct the accident, and return home."

Thanks a lot to SimonOfDenmark for the tip.

The Lie About the Lie Detector

Oh, the number of times you have been told by people on your television that it is possible to cheat a lie detector and thought "Yeah, well - how?!". No more. I give to you The Lie About the Lie Detector - a 220-page all-you-need-to-know PDF on the subject, created by AntiPolygraph.org.

There is nothing like the feeling of "I'm not supposed to know this".
